magar bād-e-bahārī aur hī thī
sañbhaltā kyā sambhāle se tumhāre
ki dil ko be-qarārī aur hī thī
thī mere ḳhvāb se bāhar bhī duniyā
magar saarī kī saarī aur hī thī
sabhī kuchh thā hamāre dil ke bas meñ
magar be-iḳhtiyārī aur hī thī
hamārā dil koī shīsha nahīñ thā
par ab ke sañg-bārī aur hī thī
jiye garche isī duniyā meñ ham bhī
magar duniyā hamārī aur hī thī

magar baad-e-bahaari aur hi thi
