shahr to bīmār lagtā hai mujhe
is qadar mahfūz rahtā hai ki vo
raam kā autār lagtā hai mujhe
roz nazmeñ kahnā chhapvānā kahīñ
ek kārobār lagtā hai mujhe

baaqī sab bekār lagtā hai mujhe
