is taraf chashm-e-iltifāt nahīñ
jā.iye ḳhair koī baat nahīñ
shaiḳh ye mausam-e-bahārāñ hai
in dinoñ ḳhūn-e-ḳhvāhishāt nahīñ
yuuñ vo milne ko ab bhī milte haiñ
par vo pahlā sā iltifāt nahīñ
sirf apne hī vāste jiinā
apnā ye maqsad-e-hayāt nahīñ
rañj ho yā ḳhushī ho ai 'rahmat'
koī shai ho yahāñ sabāt nahīñ
is taraf chashm-e-iltifat nahin
jaiye KHair koi baat nahin
shaiKH ye mausam-e-bahaaran hai
in dinon KHun-e-KHwahishat nahin
yun wo milne ko ab bhi milte hain
par wo pahla sa iltifat nahin
sirf apne hi waste jina
apna ye maqsad-e-hayat nahin
ranj ho ya KHushi ho ai 'rahmat'
koi shai ho yahan sabaat nahin
