muddatoñ baiTh ke ye ahl-e-junūñ vahshat meñ
terī āñkhoñ kī zabūñ-zār pe ro.e aksar
jin ko sun kar kabhī mas.hūr hue jaate the
dost us monis-e-bīmār pe ro.e aksar
yaad kar kar ke faqīrān-e-vafā va.ada-shikan
ishq aur ishq kī mismār pe ro.e aksar

hum mohabbat mein teri haar pe roe aksar
muddaton baiTh ke ye ahl-e-junun wahshat mein
teri aankhon ki zabun-zar pe roe aksar
jin ko sun kar kabhi mashur hue jate the
dost us monis-e-bimar pe roe aksar
yaad kar kar ke faqiran-e-wafa wada-shikan
ishq aur ishq ki mismar pe roe aksar
