dushman-e-nām-o-nañg hai yaaro
sabr bin aur kuchh na lo hamrāh
kūcha-e-ishq tañg hai yaaro
sham.a-rū par na hue kyuuñ kar Dor
dil hamārā patañg hai yaaro
baat uus tifl-ḳhū kī ramz-āmez
muj divāne ko sañg hai yaaro
til hai tiryāk chashm jām-e-sharāb
sabza-e-ḳhat yū bañg hai yaaro
zulf kā dilrubā kī aaj ḳhayāl
dil kuuñ qaid-e-farañg hai yaaro
uus parī-rū siiñ aur 'hātim' siiñ
raat din sulh o jañg hai yaaro
