khul rahā thā vo jā-ba-jā iḳhlās
us ko bhī ham se thī bahut ulfat
aur hameñ us se thā baḌā iḳhlās
mil ke jab baiThte the aapas meñ
thā dikhātā ajab mazā iḳhlās
ek din ham meñ aur 'nazīr' us meñ
ho ke ḳhafgī jo ho chukā iḳhlās
ham ye bole kidhar ga.ī ulfat
vo ye bolā kidhar gayā iḳhlās
