koī jahāñ meñ ḳhushī se guzārnā chāhe
to be-shumār bahāne ḳhushī ke hote haiñ
jamāliyāt ke parche meñ aaTh nau number
faqat shaguftagī-o-dil-kashī ke hote haiñ
kisī ke saath bhī baiThe hue dikhā.ī deñ
tasavvurāt meñ ham aap hī ke hote haiñ
'shu.ūr' sirf irāde se kuchh nahīñ hotā
amal hai shart irāde sabhī ke hote haiñ

hum ek waqt mein ek aadmi ke hote hain
koi jahan mein KHushi se guzarna chahe
to be-shumar bahane KHushi ke hote hain
jamaliyat ke parche mein aaTh nau number

kisi ke sath bhi baiThe hue dikhai den
tasawwuraat mein hum aap hi ke hote hain
'shuur' sirf irade se kuchh nahin hota
amal hai shart irade sabhi ke hote hain
