ख़ुदी को सब्र-ओ-तहम्मुल से आश्ना रखना
बड़ी हे बात बड़ा दिल का हौसला रखना
इसी से है ये मिरी ज़िंदगी में रानाई
मिरा चराग़-ए-मोहब्बत हवा जला रखना
नहीं है शान उठा कर अकड़ के चलने में
हमेशा सर को अदब से झुका हुआ रखना
न जाने कौन सा लम्हा हो उस की आमद का
ख़याल ज़ह्न मैं हर वक़्त मौत का रखना
सँभाल लेना बुलंदी पे आसमाँ की मुझे
मिरी उड़ान की तू आबरू हवा रखना
तू अपने रहम-ओ-करम से नवाज़ देना हमें
हमारी लाज तू महशर में ऐ ख़ुदा रखना
'ज़हीर' शुक्र ख़ुदा का हर एक पल लाज़िम
लबों को शाम-ओ-सहर तालिब-ए-दुआ रखना
