zulf ruḳh par tire jo machaltī rahī
kuchh ujāle añdhere rahī bāñTtī
kyā tire lams se aaj mahrūm hai
chal rahī hai sabā aaj bahkī huī
thī sarāpā qayāmat mire sāmne
yaad hai yaad hai vo ghaḌī
ek lambe safar kī thakan ko liye
muskurātī rahī rāt-bhar chāñdnī
