ki āñ.suoñ ke sivā aur koī kyā degā
bahut huā to tabassum ke chand phūloñ ko
nigāh-e-shoḳh ke hāthoñ se bevafā degā
chale to jaate ho rūThe hue magar sun lo
har ek moḌ pe koī tumheñ sadā degā
ajiib manzil-e-hairat meñ hai jahān-e-ḳharāb
ki jaise ham se divānoñ ko bhī sazā degā
hamāre sher meñ pinhāñ hai raushnī ġham kī
zarā suno to sar-e-shām ye ziyā degā

ki jaise hum se diwanon ko bhi saza dega
hamare sher mein pinhan hai raushni gham ki
zara suno to sar-e-sham ye ziya dega
