मस्लहत हर्फ़-ए-सदाक़त पे न डाले रखना
मस्लहत हर्फ़-ए-सदाक़त पे न डाले रखना
तुम अँधेरों में छुपा कर न उजाले रखना
जो भी आएगा ख़ुदाई की सनद माँगेगा
कुछ नए दौर की ख़ातिर भी हवाले रखना
मौज कहती है कि मैं सर से गुज़र जाऊँगी
दिल का फ़रमान कि पतवार सँभाले रखना
रफ़्ता-ए-सैल-ए-बला हूँ ये मिरी आदत है
अपनी कश्ती किसी गिर्दाब में डाले रखना
उस क़बीले से हूँ मैं जिस का ये दस्तूर है 'सैफ़'
क़त्ल-गाहों में अलम अपने सँभाले रखना
