mohabbatoñ kā musalsal 'azāb le Duube
agar maiñ niiñd na toḌūñ to ḳhvāb le Duube
shurū' meñ to ye rishta barābarī kā rahā
phir us ke baa'd hisāb-o-kitāb le Duube
use bhī chain kahāñ mil sakā hamāre baġhair
hameñ to ḳhair ka.ī iztirāb le Duube
ka.ī faqīroñ ne toḌā hai bādshāhī ġhurūr
ka.ī charāġh haiñ jo āftāb le Duube

agar main nind na toDun to KHwab le Dube
shuru' mein to ye rishta barabari ka raha
phir us ke ba'd hisab-o-kitab le Dube
use bhi chain kahan mil saka hamare baghair
hamein to KHair kai iztirab le Dube
kai faqiron ne toDa hai baadshahi ghurur
kai charagh hain jo aaftab le Dube
