pal pal kāñTā sā chubhtā thā
ye milnā bhī kyā milnā thā
ye kāñTe aur terā dāman
maiñ apnā dukh bhuul gayā thā
kitnī bāteñ kī thiiñ lekin
ek baat se jī Dartā thā
tere haath kī chaa.e to pī thī
dil kā rañj to dil meñ rahā thā
kisī purāne vahm ne shāyad
tujh ko phir bechain kiyā thā
maiñ bhī musāfir tujh ko bhī jaldī
gaaḌī kā bhī vaqt huā thā
ik ujḌe se station par
tū ne mujh ko chhoḌ diyā thā
pal pal kanTa sa chubhta tha

tere hath ki chae to pi thi
dil ka ranj to dil mein raha tha
kisi purane wahm ne shayad

gaDi ka bhi waqt hua tha

tu ne mujh ko chhoD diya tha
