partaw-e-saghar-e-sahba kya tha
partav-e-sāġhar-e-sahbā kyā thā
raat ik hashr sā barpā kyā thā
kyuuñ javānī kī mujhe yaad aa.ī
maiñ ne ik ḳhvāb sā dekhā kyā thā
husn kī aañkh bhī namnāk huī
ishq ko aap ne samjhā kyā thā
ishq ne aañkh jhukā lī varna
husn aur husn kā pardā kyā thā
kyuuñ 'majāz' aap ne sāġhar toḌā
aaj ye shahr meñ charchā kyā thā
partaw-e-saghar-e-sahba kya tha

kyun jawani ki mujhe yaad aai
main ne ek KHwab sa dekha kya tha
husn ki aankh bhi namnak hui
ishq ko aap ne samjha kya tha
ishq ne aankh jhuka li warna
husn aur husn ka parda kya tha
kyun 'majaz' aap ne saghar toDa
aaj ye shahr mein charcha kya tha
