aaj munkir hai tū jo va.ada se
kal jo ham se qarār thā kyā thā
sub.h ko tū jo ham pe barham thā
kyā tujhe kuchh ḳhumār thā kyā thā
kal jo tū be-qarār thā ai dil
va.ada-e-vasl-e-yār thā kyā thā
kyā huā us ne kuchh kahā thā 'na.īm'
yaar thā phir hazār thā kyā thā
raat kya iztirar tha kya tha
dil tu kyon be-qarar tha kya tha
aaj munkir hai tu jo wada se
kal jo hum se qarar tha kya tha
subh ko tu jo hum pe barham tha
kya tujhe kuchh KHumar tha kya tha
kal jo tu be-qarar tha ai dil
wada-e-wasl-e-yar tha kya tha
kya hua us ne kuchh kaha tha 'naim'
yar tha phir hazar tha kya tha
