raunaq-e-bazm-e-dil se ruḳhsat māñgī thī
sabz rutoñ meñ ḳhud se hijrat māñgī thī
barf banī jab kaalī raat kī tanhā.ī
maiñ ne jalte jism kī hiddat māñgī thī
jannat kī har shai is karb se vāqif hai
pahle mard ne kyoñ ik aurat māñgī thī
us qābīl se ham haiñ jis ne maqtal meñ
bār-e-digar sab nasl kī zillat māñgī thī
zar ke Dher ke ik jānib kuchh phuul the aur
shāh-e-vaqt se maiñ ne mohabbat māñgī thī
