terā vā'da bhī sarkārī hotā hai
jo amāvas kī raat meñ chamke vo jugnū
pūrnimā ke chāñd pe bhārī hotā hai

terī yaad meñ aañsū jaarī hotā hai
us par hī phūloñ kī bārish karte ho
jis kā har jumla chingārī hotā hai
mahrūmī kā jashn manā.eñgī āñkheñ
phir elān-e-shab-bedārī hotā hai

us par hi phulon ki barish karte ho
jis ka har jumla chingari hota hai
mahrumi ka jashn manaengi aankhen
phir elan-e-shab-bedari hota hai
