shair-e-rangin fasana ho gaya
shā.ir-e-rañgīñ fasāna ho gayā
sher bulbul kā tarāna ho gayā
is qadar naqshe utāre yaar ne
ye jahāñ tasvīr-kHāna ho gayā
vo chaman kī yaad ne muztar kyā
zahr mujh ko āb-o-dāna ho gayā
aañkh se Tapkī jo aañsū kī laḌī
qāfila ġham kā ravāna ho gayā
jaan lene aa.e the 'shā.ir' vahī
maut kā to ik bahāna ho gayā
