tanhā hue ḳharāb hue aa.ina hue
chāhā thā aadmī baneñ lekin ḳhudā hue
jab tak jiye bikharte rahe TūTte rahe
ham saañs saañs qarz kī sūrat adā hue
ham bhī kisī kamān se nikle the tiir se
ye aur baat hai ki nishāne ḳhatā hue
pur-shor rāstoñ se guzarnā muhāl thā
haT kar chale to aap hī apnī sazā hue

hum sans sans qarz ki surat ada hue
hum bhi kisi kaman se nikle the tir se
ye aur baat hai ki nishane KHata hue
