terī galī meñ maiñ na chalūñ aur sabā chale
yuuñ hī ḳhudā jo chāhe to bande kī kyā chale
kis kī ye mauj-e-husn huī jalva-gar ki yuuñ
dariyā meñ jo habāb the āñkheñ chhupā chale
ham bhī jaras kī tarah to is qāfile ke saath
naale jo kuchh bisāt meñ the so sunā chale
kah baiThiyo na 'dard' ki ahl-e-vafā huuñ maiñ
us bevafā ke aage jo zikr-e-vafā chale
