शह-रग पे नेश्तर था उतरने से पेशतर
फिरता हूँ दर-ब-दर मैं मगर मिस्ल-ए-बू-ए-गुल
मेरा भी था मक़ाम बिखरने से पेशतर
बे-अश्क क्या हुआ कि मैं बे-अक्स हो गया
आईना था ये पानी उतरने से पेशतर
हिजरत से पहले हिज्र के थे वसवसे मुझे
हर लम्हा हादिसा था गुज़रने से पेशतर
इस नज़-ए-इंतिज़ार को इक उम्र हो चली
कैसी हमेश्गी है ये मरने से पेशतर
