tirī manzil-e-ġham kā ġhammāz thā
yahī jo tirā shauq-e-parvāz thā
rahā ho ke zāhir bhī poshīda tū
dil-e-dahr kā kaun sā raaz thā
bahut muztarib thī koī mauj-e-ḳhūñ
bahut munfarid koī andāz thā
dam-e-vāpsīñ paas hotā bhī kaun
ki tū aap hī apnā dam-sāz thā
tirī yaad meñ jalsa-e-ta.aziyat
tujhe bhuul jaane kā āġhāz thā
teri manzil-e-gham ka ghammaz tha
yahi jo tera shauq-e-parwaz tha
raha ho ke zahir bhi poshida tu
dil-e-dahr ka kaun sa raaz tha
bahut muztarib thi koi mauj-e-KHun
bahut munfarid koi andaz tha
dam-e-wapsin pas hota bhi kaun
ki tu aap hi apna dam-saz tha
teri yaad mein jalsa-e-taziyat
tujhe bhul jaane ka aaghaz tha
