उस ने रुख़ से हटा के बालों को
उस ने रुख़ से हटा के बालों को
रास्ता दे दिया उजालों को
moving her tresses from her face
for the rays of light she made place
जाते जाते जो मुड़ के देख लिया
और उलझा दिया ख़यालों को
turning back she looked while going away
and sent my thoughts into a deeper fray
एक हल्की सी मुस्कुराहट से
उस ने हल कर दिया सवालों को
when a slight smile on her lips did play
all my questions were answered today
मर गए हम तो देख लेना तुम
याद आएँगे हुस्न वालों को
If I die, then, 'Shafaq' you will see
All the beauties will remember me
