phir kaagā bolā ghar ke suune āñgan meñ
phir amrit ras kī buuñd paḌī tum yaad aa.e
pahle to maiñ chīḳh ke royā aur phir hañsne lagā
bādal garjā bijlī chamkī tum yaad aa.e
din bhar to maiñ duniyā ke dhandoñ meñ khoyā rahā
jab dīvāroñ se dhuup Dhalī tum yaad aa.e
