vo ḳhushbuoñ ke musāfir the saath chalte kyā
mujhe to sūrat-e-gard-e-malūl jaanā thā
vo sāda-lauh hamāre sivā koī na thā 'aah'
ki jis ne gul-shuda dāġhoñ ko bhuul jaanā thā
