tujh se milne kī zarūrat hai mujhe
dil meñ har lahza hai sirf ek ḳhayāl
tujh se kis darja mohabbat hai mujhe
tirī sūrat tirī zulfeñ malbūs
bas inhī chīzoñ se raġhbat hai mujhe
mujh pe ab faash huā rāz-e-hayāt
ziist ab se tirī chāhat hai mujhe
tez hai vaqt kī raftār bahut
aur bahut thoḌī sī fursat hai mujhe
saañs jo biit gayā biit gayā
bas isī baat kī kulfat hai mujhe
aah merī hai tabassum terā
is liye dard bhī rāhat hai mujhe
ab nahīñ dil meñ mire shauq-e-visāl
ab har ik shai se farāġhat hai mujhe
ab na vo josh-e-tamannā baaqī
ab na vo ishq kī vahshat hai mujhe
ab yūñhī umr guzar jā.egī
ab yahī baat ġhanīmat hai mujhe
