sab ġhurūr us kā pāra-pāra thā
chāñd koī koī sitāra thā
maañ ko bachcha har ek pyārā thā
merī majbūrī thī safar karnā
mere dil ko kahāñ gavārā thā
ho ke āzād ham ye bhuul ga.e
dosto farz kyā hamārā thā
rāhgīroñ ko būḌhe bargad kā
aate jaate baḌā sahārā thā
zindagi se jo jang haara tha
