جو بحث جی سے وفا میں ہے سو تو حاضر ہے
جو بحث جی سے وفا میں ہے سو تو حاضر ہے
پہ فرط شوق سے مجھ کو ملال خاطر ہے
وصال ہووے تو قدرت نما ہے قدرت کا
نہ ہم کو قدر نہ قدرت خدا ہی قادر ہے
مسافرانہ ملے تو کہا شرارت سے
غریب کہتے ہیں لوگ ان کو یہ بھی نادر ہے
کسو سیاق سے تحریر طول شوق نہ ہو
زبان خامۂ لسان اس میں قاصر ہے
بہم رکھا کرو شطرنج ہی کی بازی کاش
نہ میرؔ بار ہے خاطر کا یار شاطر ہے
