tujhe kuchh us kī ḳhabar bhī hai ai nigār-e-vatan
tire liye koī sīna-figār hai ab bhī
uThā chukā huuñ fareb-e-vafā ke daaġh magar
shikasta dil ko tirā e'tibār hai ab bhī
hazāroñ kāhkashāñ ne bichhā.e jaal magar
mirī nazar meñ tirī rahguzār hai ab bhī
vo ek qatra jo Tapkā thā tere dāman par
vo ek naqsh mirā shāhkār hai ab bhī
vo ek lamha tire ġham meñ jo guzārā thā
sukūn-e-ḳhātir-e-be-iḳhtiyār hai ab bhī
vo kisht-e-dil ki jise āñsuoñ ne sīñchā thā
harīf-e-chashmak-o-barq-o-sharar hai ab bhī
ḳhizāñ ne yuuñ to ka.ī sabz-bāġh dikhlā.e
bahār muntazir-e-nau-bahār hai ab bhī
ravish ravish pe haiñ charche ḳhizāñ-nasībī ke
kalī kalī kī nazar sogvār hai ab bhī
lahū Tapaktā hai gulchīñ kī āstīnoñ se
qabā-e-lāla-o-gul dāġhdār hai ab bhī
bahut qarīb haiñ ab bhī qafas kī dīvāreñ
bahut buland sar-e-shāḳh-sār hai ab bhī

wo kisht-e-dil ki jise aansuon ne sincha tha
harif-e-chashmak-o-barq-o-sharar hai ab bhi
KHizan ne yun to kai sabz-bagh dikhlae
bahaar muntazir-e-nau-bahaar hai ab bhi
rawish rawish pe hain charche KHizan-nasibi ke
kali kali ki nazar sogwar hai ab bhi
lahu Tapakta hai gulchin ki aastinon se
qaba-e-lala-o-gul daghdar hai ab bhi
bahut qarib hain ab bhi qafas ki diwaren
