vo jo ik moḌ hai pīpal ke ghane peḌ
ke paas
mujh se vābasta hai biite hue lamhoñ kī tarah
ki mirī 'umr kā ehsās kā
ik hissa vahīñ chhūT gayā
apnī nākāmī-e-ulfat kī shikāyat kyā ho
merī be-sabr tamannā ko salīqa hī na thā
zindagī hāsil-e-ādāb-e-junūñ hotī hai
ab 'aqīdat mujhe pīpal ke ghane peḌ
se hai
wo jo ek moD hai pipal ke ghane peD
ke pas
mujh se wabasta hai bite hue lamhon ki tarah
ki meri 'umr ka ehsas ka
ek hissa wahin chhuT gaya
apni nakaami-e-ulfat ki shikayat kya ho
meri be-sabr tamanna ko saliqa hi na tha
zindagi hasil-e-adab-e-junun hoti hai
