ḳhāk-e-pāk-e-jāmia
āsmāñ se baḌh gayā hai aaj terā martaba
hai tirī āġhosh meñ ab mahv-e-ḳhvāb
ilm-o-tahzīb-o-ḳhirad kā āftāb
aaj hai madfūn tere sīna-e-be-nūr meñ
mādar-e-hindostāñ kā nūr-e-ain
sadr-e-bazm-e-ahl-e-dil zākir-husain

aasman se baDh gaya hai aaj tera martaba
hai teri aaghosh mein ab mahw-e-KHwab
ilm-o-tahzib-o-KHirad ka aaftab
aaj hai madfun tere sina-e-be-nur mein
madar-e-hindostan ka nur-e-ain
sadr-e-bazm-e-ahl-e-dil zakir-husain
