KHuda ki shan
maiñ ho gayā jo shifāyāb vo Thikāne lagā
buḳhār merī jagah doctor ko aane lagā
mushā.ire meñ jo dariyāñ bichhāyā kartā thā
ḳhudā kī shaan vo ab sher bhī sunāne lagā
vo birth-day pe mujhe muñh nahīñ lagātā thā
so maiñ bhī us ke gale iid ke bahāne lagā
milā thā post pe custam kā ik baḌā afsar
zarā sī ghaas jo Daalī to dam hilāne lagā
