ki is dil meñ tere liye hai bahut sī jagah
ye to donoñ ko ma.alūm hai
ārzūoñ kī kasrat se tañgī kā maarā huā
hasratoñ se pareshān hai
us kī bosīdgī ke gavāh
mohabbat vafā dushmanī buġhz kiina hasad
ye jahāñ muḳhtasar
aur to izz-o-jal
phir bhī itnā yaqīñ kar hī saktā hai tū
ye vo ghar hai ki jis meñ agar tū birāje
ye terā bane
aur tab tak rahegā baserā tirā
jab tilak tū ise
apne rahne ke qābil samajhtā rahe!
