shā.ir ko agar aap kabhī DhūñDhnā chāheñ
vo pichhle pahar fikr kī daldal meñ milegā
aur sub.h ko ā.īna liye sāmne apne
ash.ār taġhazzul ke rehearsal meñ milegā
din ko vo jigar-gosha-e-bekārī-o-iflās
bistar pe ḳhayālāt ke jangal meñ milegā
aur shaam ko halqe meñ muridān-e-suḳhan ke
baiThā huā rahmāniya hotel meñ milegā
aur shab ko sar-e-bazm-e-suḳhan sadr ke nazdīk
gāloñ ko phulā.e saf-e-avval meñ milegā
