خود سے فرار اتنا آسان بھی نہیں ہے
سائے کریں گے پیچھا کوئی کہیں سے نکلے
تجھے شناخت نہیں ہے مرے لہو کی کیا
میں روز صبح کے اخبار سے نکلتا ہوں
تمہارے خواب لوٹانے پہ شرمندہ تو ہیں لیکن
کہاں تک اتنے خوابوں کی نگہبانی کریں گے ہم
اتنا نور کہاں سے لاؤں تاریکی کے اس جنگل میں
دو جگنو ہی پاس تھے اپنے جن کو ستارہ کر رکھا ہے
میاں بازار کو شرمندہ کرنا کیا ضروری ہے
کہیں اس دور میں تہذیب کے زیور بدلتے ہیں
