الہي ilāhī
A الہي ilāhī, s.m.=allāh;—adj. Divine, of God, heavenly;—intj. O God! (=yā ilāhī):—ilāhī tauba, intj. O God, we turn to thee, accept our penitence! O God! be merciful to us! God preserve us!:—ilāhī ḵẖarć, s.m. That which is given for the sake of God; charity, alms:—ilāhī rāt, s.f. Vigil; a night passed in religious exercise:—ilāhī san, s.m. The era instituted by the emperor Akbar in the 24th year of his reign, when he embraced what he called the ilāhī maẕhab or Divine religion of Sulḥ-i-kull, or religious toleration:—ilāhī gaz, s.m. The yard of 41 inches (the standard instituted by Akbar):—ilāhī mohar, s.m. lit. 'divine seal'; a debt the payment of which is imperative; a debt to an unrelenting creditor.
