A عار ʻār (v.n. fr. عير 'to blame, or reproach,' &c.), s.f. Disgrace, reproach, ignominy, shame; bashfulness, modesty:—ʻār ānā, or ʻār lagnā (ko), To have a feeling of, shame, to feel ashamed.
