P A بحال ba-ḥāl, adj. & adv. In the usual state, in the former state, as before, in statu quo; in a good state or condition, well, in good health; flourishing, prosperous, well-to-do; established, confirmed, maintained; re-established, reinstated, restored (to health or office); in office, in work or service:—ba-ḥāl ānā, To return to a former state or condition, to recover oneself, be restored, be oneself again; to be reinstated:—baḥāl rahnā, To remain in statu quo, to be unaltered or unimpaired; to remain intact:—ba-ḥāl rakhnā, v.t. To keep or maintain in statū quo; to maintain, uphold, confirm, continue:—ba-ḥāl karnā, v.t. To establish, confirm; to reinstate, replace, restore (to, -par, office), re-establish, revive (a statute, &c.); to restore to health:—baḥāl honā (-par), To be reinstated (in, a former post or situation), to be restored (to a former state), be restored to health, to recover.
