P چاه ćāh [Pehl. ćāh; Zend ćāt, rt. kan = S. khan], s.m. A well, a pit; a dimple:—ćāh-ě-zanakh, ćāh-ě-ẕaqan, s.m. The dimple of the chin:—ćāh-kan, s.m. A well-digger.

Wish, desire, inclination; volition, will; longing, craving; love, affection, liking, fondness; fancy; choice;—appetite, relish, zest, gusto;—want, need, requirement; requisition, demand, request:—ćāh-ćit, s.f.=ćāh-o-ćoz, q.v.:—ćāh-se, adv. With pleasure; with appetite or relish; eagerly; affectionately, lovingly; of one's own accord, voluntarily:—ćāh-o-ćoz, s.f.=ćāʼo-ćoz, q.v.s.v. ćāʼo:—ćāh honā (-kī), To have a desire, &c. (for); to be in request or demand.
