H جہان जहां jahān, prov. जिहां jěhāṅ [i.e. jit+thān; Prk. जेत्तिअ+थाने; S. यावत्+स्थाने], adv. (correl. tahāṅ), Which place, where, in the place which; wherever, wheresoever:—jahāṅ-tak, jahāṅ-talak, adv. As far as:—jahāṅ-tak ho-sake, As far as possible:—jahāṅ-tahāṅ, adv. Here and there, all about; promiscuously; in some few spots or places:—jahāṅ-tahāṅ phirnā, To wander; to straggle:—jahāṅ-jahāṅ, adv. Wherever, wheresoever:—jahāṅ-se, adv. A ذهين ẕahīn (part. n. fr. ذهن; see ẕěhn), adj. Intelligent, possessed of understanding, sagacious, acute, clever, skilful, ingenious; endowed with a retentive mind (syn. ẕakī).
