A مالك mālik (act. part. of ملك 'to possess,' &c.), s.m. Possessor, proprietor, occupier, owner, master, employer, lord, ruler; the Supreme Being;—a husband:—mālik-ě-arāẓī, s.m. Possessor of lands, landholder:—mālik-ě-ḥiṣṣa, s.m. Holder of a share or shares, shareholder:—mālik-ě-ḥaqīqī, s.m. The real owner; the proprietor de facto:—mālik-ě-aʻlā, A superior proprietor:—mālik karnā, v.t.
