A عيان ʻěyān, vulg. ʻayān, or ʻayāṅ (inf. n. of عاين 'to see with the eye, to see face to face'), adj. Clear, evident, visible, manifest, open, public, conspicuous (syn. āshkār):—ʻayān karnā, v.t. To make clear or manifest, to lay bare or open; to elucidate, &c.
