raat phaili hai tere surmai aanchal ki tarah

jab sar-e-sham koi yaad machal jati hai

raat ki zulfen bhigi bhigi aur aalam tanhai ka

hai agarche shahr mein apni shanasai bahut

hai zeb-e-gulū kab se mire daar kā phandā

mujrim huuñ agar maiñ to sazā kyuuñ nahīñ dete

hai zeb-e-gulu kab se mere dar ka phanda

mujrim hun agar main to saza kyun nahin dete
