Syed Nasir Shehzad was born on 21 December 1937, in Shekhu Shareef of district Okada. His mother land is Sahival. Having completed his elementary education from village, he moved to Sahival to pursue higher education. His poetry was groomed in the company of stalwarts like Naseem Anwer, Shabnam Dil and Majeed Amjed. He is known by the pen name Nasir Shehzad. His ghazals has Hindi shades of poetry and a flavour of songs. His ghazals seem to be born out of the Indian culture. Chandni Ki Peetan and Banbaas are the collections of his poetry. He died in an accident and was buried in Shekhupura on 23 December 2007.
