Amir Hamza Saqib was born on 1st January 1970, in Mumbai. His ancestral hometown is Azamgarh. He is the son of Ata-ur-Rehman, and is influenced by his father's good training. After completing his M.A., he taught in Samadia Junior College. He was the pupil of poet Shakir Adibi. His poems have graced a number of magazines, and he also recites poems on All India Radio like his teacher. Apart from poetry, he is also interested in fiction and essay writing. Amir Hamza Saqib also directed many programs and read articles. Attached to the new generation. He has made a name for himself with his unique style and is acclaimed by critics and connoisseurs alike.
For the past two years, he has been an assistant professor at Ghulam Muhammad Women's College. He also regularly organizes literary programs to guide students and evoke a penchant for poetry and literature in them. He invites scholars of science and literature in his college to acquaint the students with their experiences and observations. In this way he his making his own effort in serving and contributing to the Urdu language.
