nur-afshan hai wo zulmat mein ujalon ki tarah

kaun sa wo zaKHm-e-dil tha jo tar-o-taza na tha

dil-e-muztar se nalan hain udhar wo bhi idhar hum bhi

unki yaadon ki hasin parchhaiyan rah jaengi

main hun aise bikhra sa

gham-e-mazi gham-e-hazir gham-e-farda ke siwa

haalat meri rah mein hail to nahin the

kashti-e-dil nazr-e-tufan ho gai

dil-e-betab ko bahlane chale aae hain

be-tarah in mein ulajh jaega nadani na kar

nahin tha koi bhi phir bhi thin aahaTen kya kya

un se izhaar-e-shikayat karun ya na karun

hazar hadsat-e-gham rawan-dawan liye hue

zindagi kuchh soz hai kuchh saz hai

masti-e-baada-e-gulfam se wabasta rahi

ye dekhen raaz-e-dil ab kaun karta hai ayan pahle

kise KHabar thi ki zehn-o-dil mein ajib sa intishaar hoga

hangama-ha-e-baada-o-paimana dekh kar

aarzu raqs mein hai waqt ki aawaz ke sath

ye aaina tha magar gham ki rahguzar mein tha
