Miir Hasan was the son of eminent poet Miir Taqi Miir from her second wife although there is insufficient proof about his birth place and date. Yet it is assumed that he was born in lucknow probably in 1783. Hasan Askarii who was commonly known as "Miir Kalluu" was the disciple of his own father Miir Taqi Miir. His diiwaan 'Diivaan-e-Arsh" was published in 1875.
