aaj bhī gaañv meñ kuchh kachche makānoñ vaale
ghar meñ ham-sā.e ke faaqa nahīñ hone dete
aaj bhi ganw mein kuchh kachche makanon wale
ghar mein ham-sae ke faqa nahin hone dete
mujh ko thakne nahīñ detā ye zarūrat kā pahāḌ
mere bachche mujhe būḌhā nahīñ hone dete
mujh ko thakne nahin deta ye zarurat ka pahaD
mere bachche mujhe buDha nahin hone dete
tere baare meñ jab sochā nahīñ thā
maiñ tanhā thā magar itnā nahīñ thā
TRANSLATION
When I had not thought about thou,
I was alone but not as much as now.
