Mohammad Ahsan Wahidi was born in August 1928 in Bahraich UP – India. He completed his matriculation and Intermediate from Gonda UP, and worked in the Indian Railway. After partition he migrated to Karachi - Pakistan with his elder brother Mohammad Asad Wahidi, where he completed his Masters in Urdu Literature and Islamic History from Karachi University.
He showed a keen interest in poetry, composing verses from an early age and sought islaah from Asghar Gondawi and Jigar Muradabadi whenever the opportunity arose. His work has been published in various notable Indian and Pakistani magazines.
He passed away in December 2008 after a short illness, and rests in Karachi.
