Profile of Mohammad Hazim Hassan

Born : 28 Aug 1959 | Kishanganj, Bihar

MdHazim Hassan is a poet cum an educationist who born in 28th August 1959 and brought up in the family of Late Molvi Mohd Sulaiman advocate at Plasmani in KishanganjDistrict of Bihar, India.

Readers would find certain facts which are not only exemplary but also ecstatic due to the variegated contextual forms. Since childhood, Mr. Hassan had to encounter constant difficulties especially while he was attaining his school education. The hindrances were so big that he had to finally drop his formal education at school level and couldn’t even get an opportunity to attend to college for higher education. His urge to learncontinued and therefore this man constantly excelled in education while working in paddy, wheat and jute fields.

Restless efforts and eagerness to attain education besides ambition to let others receive it he transformed into a teacher from farmer. His firm belief on a philosophy that “learning and teachingmustn’t be observed in the caste, creed, stage or age contexts” proved inspirational for us all. His journey to learn something exemplary still continues and by now he has already penned two books entitled “NaghmmayeSarosh”and “SabzPedonkeSaye” (Collection of poems). National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL), Government of India sanctioned the above books.

Way back in the year 2008, the then Vice Chancellor of MagadhUnivesity in Bihar, Dr. Balbir Singh awarded him for his incessant contributions in literature and poetry. He also honored with award by “Bihar Urdu Academy” in the month of January 2018. Mr. Hassan is an iconic figure for his students and also those willing to bring a positive change in life. Besides being an excellent poet, he has keen sense to critically analyze literature and equally is he known for being an influential public speaker.

Mr. Hassan has tremendous contributions in education and literature to surpassall limitations and hurdles in life. His efforts are towering to motivatestudents opt for higher education. As a guide he always motivates his students to follow the right path by knowing their individual responsibilities of lifeand achieve goals. His students are successful teachers, engineers, doctors and in government and private sectors today.

One of his motivated students PratibhaDeviqualified the BPSC Examination recently. Owing to his selfless services to education and literature, he is invited to attend programs, conferences and seminars on regular intervals in different parts of the country. Famous amongst his students as “Hassan Sir”he is known for tremendous grip on literature and communication abilities which are incomparable.

WaqtkiraftaarseybhitezchalHassabab(O Hassan! Now speed up yourself more than the speed of the time)(SabzPedonkeSaye, P-77’)

A single line of his poetry advocates his thinking ability to motivate new generation for achievements in life. His definition of an educated individual is not one who obtains higher degrees but those having implemented education received. His students consider him role model due to his worthy communication techniqueswhich aspire for bringing meaningful metamorphosis in life.

With full of optimism he always envisions for a bright future and considers that miseries must be assumed like sun and shadows. Cloud of sadness removes and thus sunlight starts to propagate, he believes. One should work to achieve the targetsby ignoring the hurdles of life. As a poet he believes in constructive poetic abilities.

To him poetry is a medium to communicate ideas that occur in mind rather than using poems as tools of entertainment. Through critical analysis of his poetic and literary aspirations many critics still believe that Mr. Hassan had attained more popularity if he would have received better avenues.

He believes that literature grooms us to communicate efficiently to become the individuals with ample soft skills. His poems are on diverse themes but some of them are exclusively on the national and international integrity. He has written an excellent tribute to Late President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who left for his heavenly abode on July 27, 2015.

It would be considered aggressive if I compare my father Mr. Hassan with the educational champions, Dr. ZakirHussain, MolanaAbulKalam Azad, SarvepalliRadhakrishnan and Dr. Kalamdue to their eternal determinations for education but the fact can’t be denied that Mr. Hazim Hassan’s devotion to spread education, though with limited resources, remains incessant.
